Art Studio is a graphics editor released in 1987 for the ZX Spectrum 48K. The software was developed and published by Michael Ferguson.
As a graphics utility, it offers a comprehensive set of tools for creating and editing artwork on the platform. The program supports a single user and provides a robust environment for pixel art and image manipulation.
In the Soviet Union and Russia, Art Studio became the de facto standard for graphics creation. It was widely distributed on cassette tapes, with versions cracked by groups such as TRC Software and Jansoft. Due to its popularity, the program was adapted for the TR-DOS system, resulting in numerous disk-based versions.
