Pirate Software released Cybex in 1987 for the ZX Spectrum 48K. The game was created by Chris D. Smith, with inlay and poster art provided by Alan Craddock.
This arcade maze game supports a single player and features isometric 3D graphics. Players can control the action using a Kempston joystick, Interface 2, or cursor keys. The release also includes a custom screen loader.
The game was sold on cassette for £2.99. The code contains traces of the MCoder II compiler, although its specific implementation remains unclear.
In the January 1988 issue of Sinclair User, the game received a score of 5/10.
The game remained largely unknown in Russia. It exists in cracked cassette versions and a TR-DOS adaptation by the group BrokImSoft.
