LIFE was released in 1983 for the 16K ZX81 home computer. The game was created by Pierluigi Piazzi from Brazil and distributed as a type-in listing in the third issue of MicroHobby magazine.
It is a simulation based on the cellular automaton concept developed by John Horton Conway. The software is designed for a single player and features an interface in Portuguese.
Due to the specific hardware requirements, the game did not see significant distribution outside of its original publishing region. There are no records of it appearing in major retro gaming publications or software collections.
