Designed for a single player, the game features 2D side-view graphics. Technical highlights include multicolour Rainbow Graphics, AY sound support, and border effects. Players control the action using either redefined keys, a Kempston joystick, or an Interface 2 controller.
The cassette version retailed at £7.99, while the disk version was priced at £14.99. The title was also released on the Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, and MSX platforms.

The game gained significant popularity in Russia, resulting in numerous TR-DOS adaptations from various groups. A Russian translation titled 'Zlaya Mest' was also released. During the cassette era, the title was widely distributed through cracked versions by hackers such as DRJ and Mihal Soft.
