Push Off was released in 1983 for the ZX Spectrum 48K. The game was published by Software Projects Ltd and created by Andrew Giles, with inlay and poster art provided by Roger Tissyman.
This arcade maze game supports a single player. The title is based on the Sega Enterprises Ltd arcade coin-op. Players control the action using either a Kempston joystick or cursor keys.
The game retailed for £5.95 on cassette. Although marketing materials incorrectly advertised it as a 16K game, the software requires a 48K machine to run.
Critics responded positively to the release. The magazine Crash awarded the game a score of 85% across three separate reviews, resulting in an average magazine score of 85.00%.
