Sprite Editor is a graphics utility for the ZX Spectrum, released in 1986 by Dorling Kindersley Software. The program was created by Piers Letcher.
Classified as a visual utility, the software allows a single user to design and manipulate sprites. It provides the essential functions required for creating graphical elements for game development on the 48K machine.
In Russia and the former USSR, the software was widely used by developers. Numerous versions were adapted for TR-DOS and distributed on floppy disks. Cracked cassette versions were also common among users.
