Star Wars was released in 1986 for the ZX Spectrum 48K. The game was published by Ediciones Forum in Spain, with Joan Jou Buch handling the code, design, graphics, and sound effects.

This title is a single-player arcade shoot-em-up. The game features text and messages entirely in Spanish.

In Russia and the former Soviet Union, the game became a staple for many users. There are numerous TR-DOS adaptations available, including versions by Prophecy, C-Jeff, and Grand. A Russian translation was released in 1993 by Evgeny Sardak and Petrovich. Cracked tape versions were also common, with notable releases by Bill Gilbert and Han Solo.
